2/21 A full day of visitors reminds me how young the babies are. Today
they never fully recover from their morning romp!
2/22 Another day of
visitors, but the puppies have returned to their rambunctious selves. It is
interesting to see some pups are still very gentle and deliver kisses
nonstop. Others, having found the power of new teeth, are a bit
unpredictable! So the second boundary begins. NO BITE! :)
2/23 The puppies
have one speed today…..GALLOP! They are running, at full speed, the entire
length of the 25' aviary! With Wonder in the lead!
2/24 Merry likes to let the pups suckle right after I feed them. I think
they are nursing less vigorously at that time! OUCH those teeth! There is
just nothing cuter than watching Merry with the pups. She is playing with
them, play bowing, rolling her head on the ground. She keeps them on the
soft carpet and never boxes them with her paws. And she seems to sort of do
everything in slow motion. You can tell they adore her, all crowded around
her face, pawing her and climbing on her.
2/25 The love fest continues! Between Mom and pups. If I stay quiet, they
ignore me completely and I get a glimpse of their utter devotion to each
other.
2/26 The puppies are fascinated with the poop cleanup routine. Why am I the
only one allowed to play with the scooper? And when I do play with it, I am
not very friendly at all! They always watch with great attention....and look
up at me as if to say "you don't need to collect it. We'll make
MORE!!"
2/27 Merry does a great job of exercising the pups. She runs back and forth,
the length of the aviary which is about 25feet. She looks like the pied
piper!
