Journal

2/6 Paris finds her littermates boring...and the pup in
the mirror has repercussions! So she has taken to laps around the box,
growling intermittently! At least she's being more careful about pouncing on
her reflection! Daddy Parker and Merry got their baths tonight, in
preparation for a weekend of visitors. Tonight Flash and Hef carried their
toys for the first time!
2/7 Jolie met all the pups this morning, individually, under Merry's
watchful eye. I didn't let Jolie in the box, but brought each pup to her.
Then she was able to spend some much needed time on the bed snuggling and
playing with Merry. But Merry was less than impressed....boy she takes her
job seriously! She boxed a little with Jolie, but ultimately turned her back
and took a nap. Priorities! :) Apparently unabashed silliness is still
inappropriate, when the serious job of raising puppies is in full swing..
2/8 Puppies had their first taste of formula today! and water as well. They
loved it of course, and spent the next hour cleaning each other off. You can
really start to see how individual these guys are, both in their looks and
their activity levels. :)
2/9 The box is full of galloping now! They will need to move outside
soon, as the box is bursting!
2/10 And today everyone has learned to go BACKWARDS....really fast! And
sometimes in a circle. What a bunch of clowns.
2/11 They are all using the potty pads almost exclusively! They have gone
through almost 50 pads already! You can tell when they are on the potty
'mission'. Sometimes only the front end is actually ON the pad, but hey!
They are not even 4 weeks old yet! And sometimes the potty area is a great
place to POUNCE because unsuspecting potty goers are really not paying
attention.
2/12 The puppies all have their silly bugs now! Everything is a game, and
some boundaries have already started! Somebody gets too rough, the magic
hand comes down and hoists puppy by the scruff (Paris). It's so cute they
look so shocked! From spaz meister to wet rag in 1 second. All of their
behavior and responses are very appropriate and I am enjoying setting some
early guidelines before those teeth are all the way in. Poor Wonder! :)

"Bunnie"
I am realizing that 'bunnie' is a
nick name I use alot for anything cute. I didn't realize it until I
started calling EVERYone Bunnie! Good thing I didn't name her 'BUG",
cuz I use that alot too!
Bunnie, what can I say about Bunnie? She knocks my socks off.

"Flash"
Flash is a heart stealer. He
stays awake much longer than the other (often with Paris) and this week he
has decided he belongs with me at all times. He has taken to throwing
himself at the side of the box! He was also the first one to
get completely on the pig rail! Like the other boys, he loves to lie in
your arms upside down. I still think he is just a few days ahead of
everyone. He played 'silly' with me tonight. Already able to distinguish
some of my 'silly' facial expressions. And then he would act silly,
throwing his head back, but always coming back for a kiss, and always
watching my eyes.

"Eric"
Eric is a ridiculous wiggle
butt! His butt is ALWAYS in motion. Even when he is running! He is my most
active boy. But he loves to lie upside down in your arms just like his
brothers! That wonderful Aussie 'off button'. :)

"Paris"
Paris the Pistol! Look out, cuz
this little gal is gonna rock somebody's world! She's ready to rumble, so
don't let her small size fool you! On top of her do or die 'tude, she's
cute as a button!

"Jet"
My darling Jet, just a few days
behind the rest of the pack. Falling in perfectly but not able to catch
up! you can even see it in his face. Whatever it is, he'll get their in a
day or two! He is starting to play and carry toys around like the others,
And he is a kisser now too!

|
"Hef"
Handsome Hef! He is the least
active of the boys, but he is bold and very centered already. He just
seems to know who he is already. He is often the first to greet me but
will wait patiently until it is his turn. He is another upside down
boy!

"Wonder"
(yes, howling!)
There is something about Wonder
that makes you want to pick he up and shelter her. Protect her! She is
probably one of those puppies that will just blossom in her new home! She
probably won't be team captain here, but when she is on her own she will
become queen! And then as her confidence grows who knows!
With 7 boisterous littermates, you will often see her sitting and
watching, but if you keep your eye on her, pretty soon she is dashing
around with the rest of them!
