Theme of this litter? MISCHIEF!!! and all call names will start with "T" Puppies are gaining at least an ounce per day! By the end of the week all the puppies are over one pound. Shamu has brought them toys, and then some personal garments and a package bow. I asked her not to do that, as it is potentially very hazardous for babies...and she willingly complied. Apparently she understands English, since I have no corresponding command for my wishes. :) She is a perfect mother. She is still in the box most of the time, and responds immediately to their every need. Her whelping box is immaculate. The puppies coo and bark in their sightless sleep. They are often terribly squirmy when held...until they burp. Then they turn in to snuggle noodles. Shamu enjoys what little help I can offer, and will leave me downstairs to eat dinner without her.....choosing to stay with her babes even instead of the chance of a morsel of my dinner. |
